At the invitation of FPTU Global Education, we had a fun and meaningful working session with international students from many countries (India, Canada, Philippines and Singapore) participating in the Summer Camp program in Vietnam.
At this working session, we shared with the students the stories and community projects that we have been doing. In particular, we emphasized the way of doing things, the importance of "connecting", "sharing/using available resources in the community" to do projects for the community. Thank you Bao, representative of SÀNH coffee, our partner supporting the workshop location this time, for participating in sharing so that the youth can hear real stories of our collaboration and other meaningful community support efforts of this enterprise.
Besides, the students also learned together and discussed very enthusiastically about the topic of fast fashion; proposed solutions, especially those that they can implement when they return home to help collectively reduce the negative impact of the fast fashion industry on the environment and society. The workshop did not stop there, but they also experienced upcycling fabric waste into useful products for themselves - concluding the journey of learning, transforming awareness and connecting the community in a meaningful way. "From now on, I will start buying recycled clothes and reusing my old clothes in a meaningful way", said by Harman.
