Our women's circle has expanded, welcoming beautiful and talented blind women to join. Like everyone else in the community, they also need to be treated equally and given the opportunity to participate in community activities. If you have never worked with the blind, find that opportunity for yourself - it will be a wonderful experience for you. “The afternoon of March 8 was a very special and memorable memory for me. At first, I felt quite bewildered and worried because I had never tried this art form before. However, the patience and enthusiasm of the facilitators helped me quickly get acquainted and feel more confident. They shared meticulous cutting and pasting techniques, harmonious color combinations, and interesting stories about their lives and culture. During the meeting, I not only learned how to create a fabric portrait but also felt the warmth and sincerity from the ladies. The joyful, open and laughter-filled atmosphere brought us closer together. I was truly impressed by the ingenuity, creativity and sophistication of the ladies. Each small piece of fabric under their hands became a part of a vivid and emotional picture. I feel extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate in this meaningful exchange. This was not only an interesting artistic experience but also an opportunity for me to broaden my horizons, understand more about different cultures and appreciate more the values of human connection. The fabric portrait that Ms.Dung and I made ourselves will be a beautiful memory, reminding me of a meaningful March 8 afternoon and the wonderful ladies and grandmothers that I had the opportunity to meet”.
