Today, we brought the blind to participate in a very special activity called “Contact Improvisation” led by Ms. Adrianna Michaladka and Mr. Guru Suraj. At this event, the blind together with the sighted people in the community performed exercises that emphasized the principles of body movement rather than moving in fixed steps. From there, each individual’s ability to listen deeply through movements with themselves, with others and with the surrounding environment was developed. This was a new experience for the blind, helping them relax, connect with themselves, with people in the community and increase their creativity. Their participation created a common space of movement without limits, creating more motivation for the instructors to teach this method to more blind people in the world.
